When all sports clubs were dissolved after the end of the Second World War , sports competitions in the Soviet occupation zone could initially only be held in loosely organized sports groups or sports communities (SG). In this context, a SG Nossen was founded. On June 7, 1950, the still young SG Nossen was restructured into the company sports association (BSG) Deutsche Reichsbahn. The Nossen depot was responsible for the operation. After the founding of GDR-wide central sports associations , the BSG used the name BSG Lokomotive Nossen from then on. With 300 members, the soccer, bowling, chess, swimming and gymnastics sections were formed in the founding year, followed by the volleyball (1973) and skiing (1979) sections. The soccer and swimming sections in particular were very active, but the gymnastics groups and gymnasts were also known beyond the district boundaries and their achievements were recognized. The BSG Lok Nossen was awarded the honorary certificate of the presidium of the DTSB of the GDR for the good performance in fulfilling the sports plan in 1982 and 1985, in 1984 with the certificate for exemplary performance in the sports relay 35 in honor of the 35th anniversary of the GDR and in 1986 with the certificate of honor from the DTSB Presidium for good performance in the sports relay XI. Congress excellent. The Muldentalsportplatz was reconstructed from May 1970 to December 1971 with an output of 9925 "Join in!" The footballers played predominantly at the district and county level. In the other sports, Lok Nossen did not reach the GDR-wide level either.

When sports clubs were permitted again in the new federal states after the political change in 1990 , the company sports association Lokomotive Nossen was founded on June 8, 1990 into the registered association SV Lokomotive Nossen. The entry in the register of associations took place on July 5, 1990. Like the BSG, the sports association also offered several sports. The bowling department developed most successfully, the 1st team of which rose to the 2nd league. In the other sports, the SV Lok 2015 was only represented at the district and district level. The Muldental sports field is available to the football department, while the other sports are hosted in various school sports halls. Through the training of U19 national goalkeeper Markus Schubert , the football department received a bonus of € 2,200 from the DFB in August 2016 for outstanding talent development.

basketball

Since the Nossner Section was founded in November 1992, training has been carried out regularly. The focus of the training is building condition and developing quick reflexes and movements. Since the end of the nineties, the men's team has been taking part in the Dresden district's league games. Almost all placements were achieved. To this day, the team plays in midfield, depending on the squad.

COC sports crew

April 7, 2007 In
2007 the sports group was founded in the Lommatzscher Schützenhaus. The first letters of the founding members are symbolic of the COC Sportscrew logo. The background to the establishment was to offer people in the doorman trade an opportunity to make contacts and to continue their education. A lively exchange took place in a sporty way, regardless of one's own physical and mental requirements.

2007 - 2008
training focus was on strength, endurance, boxing-kickboxing, restraint techniques and disarmament. Most of the training took place in the changing room (15 square meters) of the Lommatzscher Schützenhaus. Training was up to 2 times a week. Initially only used by bouncers, it was later also welcomed by guests or other interested parties, which quickly changed the content of the training.

2009
Due to the demand there was a space problem, which could be solved very quickly by a training unit of 1.5 hours per week in the sports hall in Zehren. Training was still carried out two days a week, but now split into regular training for all participants and a separate one for those interested in the doorman area. However, since this was in decline and was visited rather irregularly, the costs for the hall rental in Zehren and the cabin in the Lommatzscher Schützenhaus were no longer affordable. Looking for a suitable option for our purposes, we quickly found what we were looking for in Nossen at Fabrikstrasse 4, at Heizungsbau Liebe. At the end of 2009 we were able to continue our training on the lower floor between the rabbit exhibition and family celebrations. Training was carried out specifically in the strength and endurance area with smaller martial arts elements in the direction of self-defense. Since there was no longer any space problem, equipment such as mats, punching bags, weight bench, various small appliances, etc. were quickly added.

2010 - 2014
By defining the training area and talking about it through word of mouth, a large number of new interested parties came to us. The opportunity arose to expand the training facility in the factory hall of the Liebe company on the upper floor to 200 square meters in order to improve the effectiveness and the level of training. The training times were adjusted over time to four days a week with fixed times. This enabled us to design a training that was familiar but still feasible for everyone. Training took place in all areas of martial arts and strength sports, with the majority of the members finding themselves keeping fit through equipment training. Self-defense found favor with some members and was expanded somewhat with elements from ground combat. Attention was always paid to not preferring any martial arts or art system, but rather to show possibilities or expand perspectives.

2015 - 2017
The sports group developed a logo and established a public image. This can be found in the social networks such as Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp through various groups. This was well received and accepted by the members. Due to the increasing size of the sports group itself and the associated tasks, at the end of 2016 it made sense to be integrated into SV Lok Nossen as a department. This enables us to offer the members even better sporting opportunities and raise the level a bit. The sports group developed in all conceivable directions, from martial arts and weight training to fitness and fashion sports. The aim was then to create opportunities in the form of equipment and knowledge for all interested parties so that they can find themselves and their sport or improve themselves in their sport. The result of this are members who come from other sports to think outside the box or simply want to do a recreational sport. The target group also extends to athletes who want to keep fit without a large gym. Those interested in real self-defense, housewives and mothers, shift workers, schoolchildren and trainees with little time complete the spectrum of participants. Simply put, we offer everyone who would like to do something sporty, but do not want to commit to one sport, but would like to train with others, at financially favorable conditions as an alternative to conventional sports. Due to this rapid growth, the initially relatively small group offers many different training options within a few years using discarded equipment, some self-made and some bought. From sandbags, exercise bikes, weight benches, power towers, table tennis tables, wooden dummies, octacons, pole dance bars to various small devices, there is something for everyone.

Darts

New facility built in 2017 on the Muldentalsportplatz

The sport of darts has been very popular in England for many years and is followed with enthusiasm. In the recent past this enthusiasm has also spread to Germany. Unfortunately, the darts scene in Saxony is not yet very developed, which means that the opportunity to prove yourself and your skills at tournaments or in a club is very limited.

This fact gave a few Nossen dart enthusiasts the idea to let the sport of darts become part of SV Lok Nossen. First of all, it had to be clarified whether there are enough interested parties in Nossen and the surrounding area who would like to actively practice darts. A call in summer 2017 was followed by numerous interested parties with whom a meeting of interested parties was held on September 20, 2017 and the foundation stone for the new department was laid.

Since November 1, 2017, the department has been officially listed as active in SV Lok Nossen eV. The youngest founding member was 9 years old. The first general meeting took place on November 11, 2017, at which Nancy Kaufmann was unanimously elected and is thus the first head of the darts department in Nossen.

The restaurant on the Muldental sports ground in Nossen serves as a training and competition venue. A lot of planning, motivation, personal contribution, own resources of the members as well as support from the club and sponsors resulted in a showable system that offers every dart player optimal training conditions.

The department offers everyone a platform. The level ranges from amateur to league players. In the first few weeks after the establishment of the department, only regular training was carried out. However, it quickly became apparent that the performance of the players was steadily increasing and that a comparison with other players who were not members of the club would be sought. Then contact was made with various darts associations in the area and the possibilities of a game were clarified. With the regional darts association Dresden one could agree on the participation in the league operation 2018, but still apart from the evaluation. This trial year should give the players of SV Lok Nossen the opportunity to compare their performance in training with those in a competitive situation. This also gives you an insight into the course of active league operations. Active participation in match operations is planned for the next season.

Soccer

1945 to 1990

SG Nossen, which was founded after the Second World War, took part in the soccer championships in the Döbeln district and became district champion in 1949. So she qualified for the third class district class Dresden. In the following season you had to relegate again due to a league reform in Saxony. In 1950 the team, now renamed BSG Lokomotive Nossen, qualified for the GDR-wide soccer cup competition ( FDGB cup ). In the first main round, Nossen met the Thuringian third division team ZSG Neustadt / Orla and lost the away game with 1: 5.

As a result of the abolition of the states in the GDR in 1952, GDR football had to carry out a league reform and the BSG Lok Nossen found itself in the Meißen district class (6th league) in 1952/53. She became district champion and was promoted to the Dresden district class, where she was only able to stay for one season in 1953/54. Only in 1959 succeeded in returning to the district class, which was 6th division until 1963 with the introduction of the 2nd GDR League. The BSG Lok Nossen was a permanent member of the district class until 1977, reached number one in its squadron in 1965 and 1967, but could not prevail in the promotion rounds. In 1977 he was relegated to the district class, without the BSG succeeding in advancing again.

1990s

In the 1990s, Nossen played as an elevator team . In 1991/92 he was promoted to the Dresden district class, which could be held for two seasons. Then the team was relegated to the 1st district class. With first place in the 1996/97 season, this could be left after three years. In the following season, the Muldenstädtern managed as a climber the direct march through in the district league A and rose again to the district class Dresden, from which they were relegated as the bottom of the table again. With the direct resurgence from the district league A and winning the district cup, the classic double was achieved in 1999/00 .

2000s

The 2000s began with the descent from the Dresden district class (2000/01). In the following 12 years Nossen played in the upper third of the district league A with no prospect of promotion.

2010s

Goal statistics - season 2017/18

In the summer break of 2013 a league reform was carried out in the district of Meißen. For this reason, a placement among the top six places was required in the 2012/13 season in order to play in the district league A in the following season. In the end, Lok Nossen took 7th place and was relegated to the 1st district class. In the following season, the direct rise took place. As a newcomer, the Nossner managed, as in 1997/98, the direct march through in the district league A and rose in the end to the district upper league Meissen ( eighth highest division ). It succeeded a season-spanning series of 26 point games without defeat. Despite the last place in the table (2015/16), Nossen remained in the league, as FV Gröditz withdrew its second team from the regional league in 1911 . In 2016/17 the team finished last in the table and was relegated to the district league. In the summer break that followed, the squad was greatly rejuvenated with its own offspring. After a mixed season, the 2017/18 season ended with 9th place in the table.

Bowling

The bowling department can look back on an interesting history. It has seen many changes since World War II. After the founding on May 20, 1949 in the Nossen sports group, they played for many years in the Eula inn. From 1950 two men’s teams competed at the district and state level and one women’s bowling team at the district level. In the 1993/94 season, the home track changed to Lüttewitz in the Döbeln district. The bowling alley at Gasthof Eula was in too bad a condition to be used for further competitions. On April 24, 1999 the new bowling and skittles alley near the Nossener Volksbad was inaugurated. The new facility made it possible for a youth and a women team to be set up.

Ski club

Ski carnival in the Rodigt Gorge - audience record 10,000

The "old hands" said that skiing was already practiced in Nossen shortly after the world wars. (At 210 to 320 meters above sea level, Nossen is at the foot of the Ore Mountains.) At this time, excursions into the mountains were already being made. Back then, skiing was part of the lessons in schools and regional competitions were held.

In the 1970s there was a rapid development in skiing. Plastic skis, bindings and edges were invented. The general enthusiasm for alpine skiing carried over to the Nossner skiers. The result was the founding of the skiing section in the company sports community Lokomotive Nossen in 1979. At the same time, the ski area in the Rodigt Gorge was opened up. This included the power supply, the ski slope lighting and the construction of a ski hut.

Ski acrobatics - 80s - Rodigt Schlucht Nossen

A licensed trick ski jump was built for the competitions (at the time the only one in the GDR on which double somersaults were allowed), a timing system that we expanded in 2001 and 2005 with digital technology, competition software and a large display. In 2004 a small drag lift was also built. The Nossen section also played a key role in the development of ski acrobatics in the GDR and organized competitions in this discipline. In addition to Johanngeorgenstadt and Oberwiesenthal, Nossen is also chosen as a center for ski acrobatics . The ski section organized 15 city and district championships. The first successes were not long in coming.

  • 92 victories at district and city championships
  • 12 wins in cup competitions (with international participation and GDR best determination)
  • 6 victories in alpine races (Germany, Austria, Italy, Saxony, Thuringia)

Success was not only achieved in active competitive sports, the section members also campaigned for popular and recreational sports. With increasing popularity, six ski carnival events took place between 1979 and 1987. In 1987, even more and more attractive programs attracted around 10,000 viewers to the Rodigt Gorge.

Organized training groups have been traveling to high and low mountain ranges in Europe for over 30 years. With the opening of the borders, worldwide ski regions (Alps, Dolomites, Rocky Mountains ...) were opened up for the athletes from the Nossener Ski Club for training, education, competition and bus trips.

Of course, the youngsters don't miss out in the ski club. Elaborately trained ski instructors and trainers organize a varied and year-round training and ski competition program with the young and young at heart. Without the longstanding support of Sport Richter (slope maintenance, drag lifts in Holzhau) and cooperation with many ski athletes, athletes from other departments and volunteers, none of these successes would be possible.

Organized alpine skiing in Nossen has a 25-year-old tradition that will continue in the years to come.

Table tennis

In 1955 the table tennis department was founded in the Lok Nossen sports club. At the beginning there was a lack of children, which is why everything fell asleep again. The table tennis department was brought back to life in 1978 by Annemarie Schnobl. Mainly children and young people pursued this sport. With the incorporation of Deutschebora, the table tennis players from Traktor Deutschebora switched to the table tennis section of SV Lok Nossen. Children, young people and adults played in this department again. Lok Nossen was now also involved in table tennis competitions in the district. With the move to the primary school's sports hall, the conditions for the department improved significantly. Nevertheless, the popularity of this sport was limited. Several young people were lost to the section through teaching and studying. With a lot of commitment and passion, Annemarie Schnobl kept the department alive. It is thanks to her that the department got one of the contested appointments in the new gymnasium of the high school. The conditions for competition and training in the section were now ideal and paved the way for a positive development of the table tennis section. Unfortunately, Annemarie Schnobl has resigned from the position of head of the table tennis department for all accepted reasons. Today the department has 50 members (as of 2015) and the trend is rising.

Floorball

The floorball department was founded in 2015. Floorball or floorball has been at the Dr. - Eberle - played school in Nossen. The school has already celebrated numerous successes with its students in school sports. Another department in the sports club has developed from this group.

volleyball

The beginning of volleyball in Nossen goes back to the 1960s. The DCA (Dorfclub Augustusberg) took part very successfully in popular sports competitions. Due to increasing enthusiasm, in 1973 they integrated themselves into the company sports association "LOKOMOTIVE" Nossen as the volleyball section. From this point in time, competitive volleyball began in Nossen. It was interesting that back then there was no club stamp for this sport. The word swimming was simply overwritten by hand with volleyball in the swimming stamp.

Today the department is divided into two areas. On the one hand the women's area. He looks after the female and male offspring and takes part in relevant competitions. On the other hand, the leisure area. Everyone who enjoys volleyball and wants to keep fit is addressed here. It is popular to take part in tournaments with women, men and mixed teams.

yoga

With the change in 1989, the various currents of East Asian martial arts and healing methods increasingly came into the country and so did Hatha Yoga . After 3 years (6 semesters) at the Volkshochschule Meißen, the participants in these courses were able to find a training location in the Gymnasium Nossen and, after consultation with the board of SV Lok Nossen eV, received approval to set up a yoga department. Today over 70 participants are supervised by 7 license holders (trainers) in 4 groups every week. Every year the yoga department holds a training camp in Werdau at the sports school. Years of qualification and ongoing training guarantee good success.

Swimming club / water polo

Swimming club Nossen 1924

The "Nossen Swimming Club", which was founded by 25 members a few days after the inauguration of the public baths in 1907, quickly became known far beyond the city limits. In 1932, after 25 years, it enjoyed a good reputation not only in the district, but also in the German Swimming Association, with 552 individual and 125 relay victories by its members. The water polo players were able to celebrate the district championship title in 1929.

District championship team 1961

One of the highlights of the club's work is the German championship (Weimar 1933) in the 4-by-100-meter men's crawl relay and in the layer relay (Halberstadt 1936). One of the participants at that time was Horst Paul, who is still known to many Nossners as 'Paul-Seppi' (haulage contractor, lifeguard and popular swimming instructor). His brother Hans still swam actively at the age of 90 and held the world records for 50 meters chest and freestyle on 25 meter lanes in his age group until his death. In August 1939, just a few days before the start of the war, the swimming club held another swimming festival with friendly clubs despite numerous calls. After the war, the association's work could only slowly be resumed, as only a few organizations were permitted in the Soviet occupation zone. The members of the swimming club began active training again in 1947. Those responsible paid great attention to youth work. During the season, swimming lessons for beginners were given almost every day, after 6:00 p.m. the youth, senior citizens and water polo players trained. Soon there were successes again, for example at district and district championships. The city's largest employer at the time, the Reichsbahn, soon took over the sponsorship of the sport, and so the swimmers of the company sports community (BSG) Lokomotive Nossen also joined. In 1961 the men's water polo team won the district championship title. The games of the Nossner team drew numerous spectators to the Volksbad. Since training in Nossen was only possible in summer, the then section head Paul Haubold made a sacrificial effort - but unfortunately in vain - to set up an indoor swimming pool.

Mulden valley sports ground

Flood in 2002 and new construction

Muldentalsportplatz around 1929

In August 2002, a natural disaster occurred that is often referred to as the flood of the century . Rivers overflowed their banks as a result of days of rain, including the Freiberg Mulde , which runs through Nossen. The event left severe damage to buildings and infrastructure in Nossen and also destroyed the Muldental sports field. The two squares as well as the functional buildings were so badly affected that a quick renovation was impossible. The teams in the soccer department made guest appearances at neighboring clubs and were thus able to maintain their training and match operations. The new construction of the 1.5 million euro sports facility was converted into its current form thanks to funding and great commitment from Nossner athletes, citizens and companies. The financial resources came from the Free State, from donations and from the city of Nossen. Under the conditions of flood protection, a lawn was created, which is bordered with a tartan track. A grandstand with 150 seats was built parallel to the playing field. Due to the additional long jump and shot put facility, the sports field is often used by the local schools to teach the students in the field of athletics. The functional building was completely gutted and completely renovated. This created modern, spacious changing rooms for the teams and referees. Separated from the changing rooms, a small restaurant was created that catered for the spectators on match days and offers space for 35 guests inside. The flood protection of the buildings and the lawn is ensured by a protective wall around the area. A hard court was created outside the stadium, which is used for training purposes and, in bad weather, to relieve the grass pitch. This place is also equipped with floodlights, so that training is guaranteed in the dark months. The facility was opened on April 29, 2004 with a ceremony. In order to relieve the access road and the parking situation in front of the sports field, a parking lot was built on the left. This offers ample parking and the facility can be reached on foot via the Muldenbrücke, which was newly built in spring 2005.

The modern system is not only used by SV Lok Nossen. Professional clubs such as SG Dynamo Dresden , Chemnitzer FC or Hallescher FC also used the Mulden valley sports ground for training camps and preparation games.

Flood 2013

At the beginning of June 2013 the Freiberg Mulde flooded its banks again. However, the level did not reach the level of 2002. The flood protection devices that were erected in the new building, as well as immediate measures, held up and were able to prevent worse damage. Nevertheless, the water in the functional building was approx. 20 cm high, so that a renovation of all rooms was inevitable. The hard court outside the wall was exposed to the floods and was completely covered with mud. Once again, funding and hard work by the athletes, citizens and companies from Nossen were necessary to give the Muldental sports ground its previous splendor.
