Mecklenburg Bulls Schwerin is a handball sports club from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

The club was created in 2012 after the bankruptcy of the traditional Schwerin club SV Post Schwerin and the associated forced relegation from the 2nd handball league , through the merger of the Mecklenburg HC with the former SV Post to SV Mecklenburg Schwerin . In its first season, the club entered the 3rd League North in the 2013/14 season .

The club initially only had the nickname "Mecklenburg bulls". It was later renamed from SV Mecklenburg Schwerin to Mecklenburg Stiere Schwerin.

Sports and congress hall

Since the 2015/16 season, the home games have usually taken place in the Schwerin sports and congress hall; this hall is also used for trade fairs and concerts. The main hall has an area of ​​2000 m². The capacity is 5300 permanent places (max. 8000). The average attendance in the 2014/15 season for 15 home games was 607, where 12 of the 15 home games of the season were played in the Erich-Kästner-Halle. In the 2015/16 season, an average of 1322 viewers came and thus has the most viewers of all four third league seasons.

Some preparation games and home games of the 2nd men's team and the A-youth team took place in the Erich-Kästner-Halle.
