Sahiwal ( Urdu : ساہیوال), formerly Montgomery , is a city in Punjab ( Pakistan ).

location

Sahiwal is located about 180 km southwest of Lahore on National Road 5. It is the largest city between Lahore and Multan . The population is 389,605 (2017 census). When she in 1865 by Sir Robert Montgomery , the former lieutenant governor of Punjab Montgomery was called, she was still a small village on the railway Karachi -Lahore.
