Sahwisdja ( Ukrainian Загвіздя ; Russian Загвоздье Sagwosdje , Polish Zagwóźdź or older Zagwoźdź ) is a village in the western Ukrainian Oblast Ivano-Frankivsk with about 3700 inhabitants (2006).
On April 29, 2018, the village became the center of the newly founded rural community Sahwisdja (Загвіздянська сільська громада / Sahwisdjanska silska hromada ), which also includes the village of Pidlissja (Підлісся), which it had previously been named.
geography
Sahwisdja lies on the bank of the Bystryzja Solotvynska ( Бистриця Солотвинська ), an 82 km long upper course of the Bystryzja in Tysmenyzja Rajon . The village, first mentioned in writing in 1394, borders the city of Ivano-Frankivsk in the east . The district center of Tysmenytsia is 17 km east of the village. North of the village is the Demjaniv Las memorial , where over 500 people were murdered by the NKVD between 1939 and 1941 .
The N 09 road runs to the east of the village .
