The Salamis Lines (also Salamis Cruise Lines ) is a Cypriot shipping company based in Limassol , which was founded in 1993 and since then both cargo vessels , ferries and cruise ships operates.
history
Salamis Lines was founded in Limassol in 1993. The shipping company's first ship was the Nissos Kypros ferry , which was commissioned as Trelleborg in 1958 and was henceforth used between Limassol, Piraeus and Haifa . In the following years Salamis Lines expanded this ferry service with additional ferries and RoRo ships.
In 1996 Salamis Lines bought the cruise ship Salamis Glory, which was put into service in 1962, from the insolvent shipping company Regency Cruises and used it from then on for trips in the Mediterranean . The cruise line of the shipping company is marketed under the name Salamis Cruise Lines. After the Salamis Glory was retired in 2009, the Salamis Filoxenia, which was put into service in 1975, took over this task.
