According to the manufacturer, the air flow of the S7 should be optimized and the downforce generated by the spoilers so high that it would be able to drive on the ceiling from 220 km / h. This statement is based on tests in wind tunnels. In a test carried out by Auto Bild , however, the car hit the road at 286 km / h due to the contact pressure. If this is a general design-related problem with the Saleen S7 and not just a fault in the test car, the maximum speed specified by the factory cannot be achieved without damaging the car.
