Salvatore Giovanni Rinaldi

Salvatore Giovanni Rinaldi (born May 3, 1937 in Cimitile ) is an Italian clergyman and emeritus bishop of Acerra .

Life

Salvatore Giovanni Rinaldi was ordained a priest on July 2, 1961 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Acerra on December 7, 1999 . As a motto he chose nos autem praedicamus christum crucifixum . He was ordained episcopal on January 29, 2000 by the Archbishop of Naples , Cardinal Michele Giordano ; Co- consecrators were Antonio Riboldi IC , former bishop of Acerra, and Beniamino Depalma , archbishop ad personam of Nola .

On September 18, 2013, Pope Francis accepted his resignation due to reasons of age.
