Samurai Iserlohn is a German inline skate hockey club based in Iserlohn .

The club plays in the 1st Bundesliga of the Inline Skaterhockey League Germany .

history

The association was founded on October 20, 1998 in Hemer . The first successes were already recorded in 1999. The 1st men's team took first place in the 2nd Bundesliga and was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga. In the junior national league they achieved 4th place. The school team took 5th place. In the following year, the 1st men's team played in the Zurich Cup and reached 4th place. In the 1st Bundesliga, 9th place was achieved. In 2002 the players Pascal Poerschke and Sascha Jacobs were appointed to the national team. The first men's team was runner-up in 2003. The second men's team won promotion to the regional league by taking first place in the Landesliga Westfalen. The youth team rose to the 1st league in 2003, and the students became vice-champions in North Rhine- Westphalia. At the European Cup tournament in the following year, the school team took 2nd place. In 2008 the 2nd men became regional league champions for the second time.

After the Samurai Iserlohn played in the 1st Bundesliga South in 2009, they were placed in the 1st Bundesliga North again in the 2010 season. In the 2011 season, the first men qualified as fourth in the Bundesliga North directly for the single-track Bundesliga.

2012: In the single-track Bundesliga, the Samurais finished the 2012 season in the preliminary round as a 3-a-side and were thus qualified for the playoffs. After a successful quarter-final against the IVA Rhein Main Patriots, the Samurai were eliminated in the semifinals against TV Augsburg. Games and training have been taking place in Iserlohner Heide in the Heidehalle since the end of 2012 .

2013: The first men finish the preliminary round as leaders for the first time. Current players in the men's national team are Tim Linke, Lennart Flanz and Jonas Mende (as of 10.2013).
