San Corbiniano ( lat. : Sancti Corbiniani ) is the parish church of the same parish in the Roman district Infernetto in 13 Municipium Ostia . It was built from 2006. It has been the title church of the Roman Catholic Church since 2010 .

The church, although still under construction, was assigned to the newly appointed Cardinal Reinhard Marx as the titular church by the consistory on November 20, 2010 . The church building was built with financial support from the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising and was opened on March 20, 2011 by Benedict XVI. consecrated. Patron is St. Korbinian ( Corbiniano di Frisinga ), the first Freising bishop. Cardinal Marx took possession of his titular church on June 5, 2011.

Before his retirement as Archbishop of Munich and Freising in 2008, the predecessor of Marx, Cardinal Friedrich Wetter , had tried to get St.Corbinian in the city from which he was once with papal mandate from Pope Benedict, his predecessor in Munich Missionary had been sent to dedicate a church.

The district Infernetto ("little hell " because of the charcoal burners who once worked here ) is one of the suburbs of Rome that spread out into the surrounding area and extends south of it in part of the cleared dune forest between Castel Fusano and Castel Porziano near the sea. The community was founded in 1989 and was consecrated to St. Wilhelm von Vercelli (it. San Guglielmo) until 2007 . The foundation stone laid on patronage festival, June 25, 2006 Bishop Paolo Schiavon . The services were initially held in makeshift rooms. When the church was rebuilt, a large parish center with a parish hall, sports field and group rooms was built. With the shopping center next to it, San Corbiniano is supposed to form a kind of town center.

The pastor for around 7,000 Catholics has been a priest of the Archdiocese of Rome since September 1st, 2009.
