San Isidro is a town in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

San Isidro is the most populous municipality in the canton of Morochata in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Morochata in the province of Ayopaya . The village is located at an altitude of 3400  m on the Río Piusilla, a tributary of the Río Morochata , which drains to the Río Cotacajes , one of the headwaters of the Río Beni .

San Isidro lies between the Cordillera Mazo Cruz and the Cordillera del Tunari , a north-western section of the Cordillera Oriental . The climate is a typical daytime climate , in which the temperature fluctuations between day and night are more pronounced than between the seasons.

Five kilometers before Morochata, a country road branches off from Ruta 25 in a northerly direction and leads via San Isidro to the neighboring town of Piusilla .
