Sandwiese (dialect: Hutzelschweiz) is one of three districts of the Alsbach-Hähnlein community in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district in southern Hesse .
The place is in the Alsbach district between the center of Alsbach and Hähnlein on the edge of the Odenwald in the Rhine plain . The place has a stop of the Main-Neckar-Bahn . The federal highway 3 and the state road 3112 meet to the east of the village . The federal highway 5 runs to the west .
The smallest district of Alsbach-Hähnlein was founded in 1949 on an old sand dune .
There is a daycare center and two playgrounds in the sand meadow . The largest industrial area in the community is also located there, including Wolf Bergstrasse and the Voice of Hope .
