Sanjivani Babur Jadhav (born July 12, 1996 in Nashik , Maharashtra ) is an Indian athlete who specializes in long-distance running.

Athletic career

Sanjivani Jadhav gained her first international experience at the Junior Asian Championships 2014 in Taipei , where she won the bronze medal in the 3000 meter run in 9: 35.02 minutes and came fifth in the 5000 meters. In 2015 she was sixth in the 10,000-meter run at the Summer Universiade in Gwangju, South Korea, and was 13th over 5000 meters in 16: 16.18 minutes. At the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar , she won her first medal at international championships. Over 5000 meters she won the bronze medal in 16: 00.24 minutes and took fifth place over 10,000 meters. In August, as a student at the University of Pune , she took part in the Student World Games in Taipei. There she reached eighth place over 5000 meters and won the silver medal over 10,000 meters behind the Kyrgyz Darja Maslowa . At the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat at the beginning of September , she also won the silver medal over 3000 meters behind Alia Saeed Mohammed from the United Arab Emirates .

In 2018 she took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta , where she finished ninth over 10,000 meters in 33: 13.06 minutes and seventh over 5000 meters in 15: 52.96 minutes. In the following year, she finished fourth at the Asian Championships in Doha in 15: 41.12 minutes over 5000 meters and won the bronze medal over 10,000 meters in 32: 44.96 minutes behind Bahraini Shitaye Eshete and Hitomi Niiya from Japan.
