Santa Ana del Yacuma (short: Santa Ana ) is a small town in the Beni department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Santa Ana is the seat of the administration of the province of Yacuma and the central place of the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Santa Ana . The city lies at an altitude of 147 m at the confluence of the Río Rapulo in the Río Yacuma and is bordered on three sides by these two rivers. A few kilometers downstream, the Río Yacuma flows into the Río Mamoré , which flows here in a northerly direction and joins the Río Beni to the Rio Madeira 615 kilometers downstream .

Santa Ana is located in the Bolivian lowlands, its rivers are part of the catchment area of the Amazon basin . The region belongs to the semi-humid tropics, the climate is hot and humid for much of the year.
The annual average temperature is 27.3 ° C, the monthly values fluctuate only slightly between 25.5 ° C in June / July and 28.3 ° C in October / November. The annual precipitation of 1645 m is about twice as high as in Central Europe. A short dry season from June to August with monthly values of less than 35 mm is opposed to a humidity period that shows precipitation values of more than 200 mm from December to March.

Santa Ana is 150 kilometers northwest of Trinidad , the capital of the department, by road.
From Trinidad, the paved highway Ruta 3 leads a few kilometers west towards San Ignacio de Moxos , until two unpaved country roads branch off to the north: Ruta 9 via San Ramón to Guayaramerín , and Ruta 902 to Santa Ana del Yacuma . The 902 reaches the provincial capital Santa Ana after 135 km and continues north to Exaltación .
