The municipality of Santa Ana del Yacuma (short: Santa Ana ) is a district in the Beni department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The municipality of Santa Ana is one of two municipalities in the province of Yacuma and is located in the southern part of the province. It borders the province of Ballivián to the west, the province of Moxos to the south, the province of Mamoré to the east , and the municipality of Exaltación to the north .
The largest city and administrative seat of the province is Santa Ana del Yacuma at the confluence of the Río Yacuma in the Río Mamoré with 12,178 inhabitants ( 2012 ) on the northeastern edge of the municipality.

The municipality of Santa Ana is located in the Bolivian lowlands, its rivers are part of the catchment area of the Amazon basin . The region belongs to the semi-humid tropics, the climate is hot and humid for much of the year.
The annual average temperature is 27.3 ° C, the monthly values fluctuate only slightly between 25.5 ° C in June / July and 28.3 ° C in October / November. The annual precipitation of 1645 mm is about twice as high as in Central Europe. A short dry season from June to August with monthly values of less than 35 mm is opposed to a humidity period that shows precipitation values of more than 200 mm from December to March.
