The Municipio Exaltación is a district in the Beni department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

The Municipio Exaltación is one of two Municipios of the Province of Yacuma and is located in the northern part of the Province. It borders the province of Ballivián to the west, the municipality of Santa Ana to the south, the province of Mamoré to the east , and the province of Vaca Díez to the north .

The central place and administrative seat of the province is Exaltación on the Río Mamoré with 1,425 inhabitants ( 2012 ) on the southeastern edge of the district.

The Municipio Exaltación is located in the Bolivian lowlands, its rivers belong to the catchment area of the Amazon basin . The region belongs to the semi-humid tropics, the climate is hot and humid for much of the year.

The annual average temperature is 27.3 ° C, the monthly values fluctuate only slightly between 25.5 ° C in June / July and 28.3 ° C in October / November (see climate diagram Santa Ana del Yacuma).
