Santiago Martínez-Caro de la Concha-Castañeda (born January 28, 1957 in New York City ) is a Spanish diplomat .

Life

Santiago Martínez-Caro de la Concha-Castañeda is the son of Maria Dolores de la Concha-Castañeda y Ortiz-Repiso and Santiago Martínez Caro . He married Ana Aguado Blass in 1984 and entered the foreign service. He was employed at the representations in Cameroon , Peru and the European Community in Brussels , and he was also employed in a coordinating role in the administration. In the embassy in Rabat he was counselor for economy. In 1998 he became consul general in Caracas . From 2003 to 2004 he headed the Sub-Saharan Africa department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He represented the Spanish Government in the Organización de Estados Iberoamericanos para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura and organisms of the Ibero-American Development Cooperation On 1 October 2004 he was appointed ambassador to Harare , Zimbabwe appointed. On September 26, 2005 he was appointed ambassador to the governments of Lilongwe , Malawi and Lusaka , Zambia , based in Harare .
