Saptakoshi ( Nepali सप्तकोशी ) is a city ( municipality ) in the eastern Terai of Nepal in the Saptari district .
Saptakoshi is located west of the Koshi River . The city was created at the end of 2014 by amalgamating the Village Development Committees Phattepur , Kamalpur and Odraha . The urban area covers 60.2 km².

At the 2011 census, the VDCs that made up the city of Saptakoshi had 21,131 residents (10,018 of them male) in households.
