Sascha Oliver Martin (* 18th September 1970 in Hamburg ) is a German TV - presenter , author and media trainer.

Sascha Oliver Martin was born as the son of the advertising manager Horst Martin and the artist Monika Martin. He has a brother. After the 12th grade, he started his first television internship at RTL plus at the age of 17 . From October 1988 he completed an internship in Hamburg at the then newly founded broadcaster OK Radio , then an editorial traineeship .

During his internship at OK Radio, Martin hosted his first program with Ollie Weiberg. With Weiberg he also appeared under the pseudonym "Engineer SOM" in the "OK Radio Dancecharts" hosted by Weiberg. Later, Martin and Andreas Heineke moderated the call-in program “Wish you what” for several years . His visual resemblance to Dieter Bohlen earned him the nickname "(the real) Dieter".

From 1992 Martin was responsible for the training of the moderators . On January 1, 1993, he became the official programming manager of the station and was responsible for format development and training of the moderators. At the end of 1992 Martin left the station. Until his contract with RTL Nord Live started, Sascha Oliver Martin wrote and produced several Euro-Dance and hit titles. However, to this day he has not released any of the titles for publication.

Martin returned to radio in the meantime - from October 2005 to March 2007 - when he headed Radio CLM, which broadcasts on the Canary Islands of Tenerife , La Palma , El Hierro and La Gomera as program director.

From July 1, 1994, Martin worked as a news anchorman at RTL Nord Live . As editor , he wrote the news and presented it on the daily program of the same name. At the same time, Martin already received an offer from the local broadcaster Hamburg 1, which is in the process of being founded, for a daily personality program.

On January 1, 1995, Martin moved to Hamburg 1. There he prepared a. a. with his producer Ollie Weiberg presented the program "Dieter live", which - based on the radio show still known in Hamburg - was called "Dieter - still real" in the first few weeks. With the start of the station on May 3, 1995, the daily 100-minute broadcast with music guests, viewers, callers and a fax machine with continuous paper on the desk that the viewers can dial directly. In the first year Martin welcomed guests like Blümchen and Tic Tac Toe , later guests from Gottlieb Wendehals to Scooter to Sarah Connor followed . Martin's Rottweiler Anton, born in 1995, grew up in front of the audience and had his own fans and even an autograph card with a paw print. After approx. 1500 live personality shows and approx. 300 "best of programs", Martin reoriented himself in 2001 and at times moderated the breakfast television "Hamburg am Morgen" before leaving the station. In the Hamburger Abendblatt (March 28, 2012), Hamburg-1 managing director Michael Schmidt stated that from 1995 to 2000, “Dieter live” was the station's most successful format.

From 2008 to 2010 Martin worked as editor-in-chief and chief presenter of the regional broadcaster Rhein-Main TV in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe . There, Martin also moderated the weekly news magazine “rheinmain aktuell” and various other formats. Since then he has been a freelance media trainer in Cologne and continues to work as a freelance presenter for various broadcasters. In Hamburg, too, Martin moderated individual programs for Hamburg 1 in 2012.

Lecturer activities and seminars

After Martin trained moderators as a programming manager in 1993, he founded his Hamburg moderator school in 2001. In the context of coaching and seminars, he initially only trained TV presenters, later also those from outside the industry who appeared in public.

Martin has been working with several dark restaurants since 2007 and, together with his seminar partner Ralf Mechlinski, conducts seminars in the areas of team building, mindfulness and nutrition.

In 2008 Martin completed his training as a “fitness and health trainer B license” at the German Trainers Academy in Cologne. This was followed by further training and additional licenses in sports nutrition, immune fitness and nutritional advice. Martin also incorporates these elements into the coaching of public performers.

Since the 2011 winter semester, Martin has also been a lecturer for the subjects of rhetoric and media presence at the WAM Medienakademie Dortmund . For advanced semesters of the marketing science and moderation courses, the focus is on practical rhetoric in speech and everyday work as well as self-marketing.
