Savino Bernardo Maria Cazzaro Bertollo OSM (born November 28, 1924 in Abbazia Pisani, Villa del Conte , Province of Padua ; † August 13, 2017 ) was an Italian religious and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Puerto Montt in Chile.

Life

Savino Bernardo Maria Cazzaro Bertollo joined the order of the Servites and was ordained a priest on April 16, 1949 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on December 10, 1963 titular Bishop of Pyrgos and Apostolic Vicar of Aysén . The Cardinal Prefect of the Congregatio de Propaganda Fide , Grégoire-Pierre Agagianian , donated him episcopal ordination on February 13 of the next year . Co- consecrators were Carlo Zinato , Bishop of Vicenza , and Antonio Mistrorigo , Bishop of Treviso . The inauguration took place on April 12, 1964.

He took part in the last two sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.

On February 8, 1988, he was appointed Archbishop of Puerto Montt by Pope John Paul II . The inauguration took place on April 10th of the same year. On February 27, 2001, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
