Savo Klimovski

Savo Klimovski ( Macedonian Саво Климовски ; born June 13, 1947 in Skopje , Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia ) is a Macedonian legal scholar and professor at the University of Skopje .

Scientific career

Klimovski completed his law studies at the University of “St. Cyril and Methodius " from Skopje in 1970 and became 1971 assistant professor ( assistant professor appointed). In 1978 he received his doctorate from the University of Ljubljana . Klimovski first taught as a professor of constitutional law , political architecture and political philosophy . From October 1992 he was Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Skopje and from 1996 to 1998 he was President of the Senate of the University. During his academic career, Klimovski published monographs ,School and university books and supplements to numerous publications .

Political career

Klimovski began his political career in 1986 as a member of the federal government, where he was responsible for the Ministry of Education and Culture until 1991. From 1992 to 2000 he held various offices in the Macedonian Parliament and was elected President of the Parliament after winning the 1998 parliamentary elections. During this presidency, Klimovski acted as acting president of Macedonia according to the constitution until the newly elected president Boris Trajkovski was sworn in.
