The Saxner is a 2358 m high peak in the Stubai Alps . It rises in the Jaufenkamm , which separates the Ratschingstal and Passeier in South Tyrol , between the Fleckner and the Glaitner Hochjoch . Together with the Fleckner, it forms a striking double peak in the ridge west of the Jaufenpass ( 2094 m ).
Touristic
Due to its proximity to the Jaufenpass and the Ratschings-Jaufen ski area, the Saxner is visited relatively frequently and in all seasons. Climbs are not marked or marked, but there are easy climbing tracks, sometimes steep, over Schrofen to the summit. The transition from the secondary peak of the Fleckner ( 2331 m ) in ¼ hour or the ascent from the Glaitner Joch ( 2249 m ) over the west ridge in ½ hour are possible. Usually the summit is crossed via the above-mentioned climbs along the ridge.
