Schafe & Wölfe is a German indie pop - electronic music project, which was founded in 2012 by Christian Hyla and Max Scharff in Lemgo and is supported by Jonas Jordan and Valéry Heer during performances. Hyla has been the only constant member since Scharff left in 2015.

history

Max Scharff and Christian Hyla got to know each other at the campus radio of the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences . The name Schafe & Wölfe should stand for the opposites that, according to their own statement, are brought together in music. In April 2014 Schafe & Wölfe released their first EP Big Eyes for Bad Prospects , which also includes remixes by Captain Capa and the Bondage Fairies . After the release of the single Alles ist am Leben, there followed appearances on Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten and the Melt! Festival 2015, the duo and band played their first own tour through Germany , Austria and Switzerland . After further festival appearances in the same year, Max Scharff left the project amicably.

The EPs Big Eyes for Bad Prospects and Night were produced in collaboration with Norman Kolodziej , who was also involved as co-producer and mixer on the other releases, Lebenswerk X , Lebenswerk and Mit Beste Grüßen (single edit) , which Christian Hyla produced himself . The debut album Lebenswerk X was mastered by Sascha Busy Bühren ( Curse , Maxim ) in the TrueBusyness studio in Berlin.
