The Shapkina ( Russian Ша́пкина ) is a right tributary of the Pechora in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug and in the Komi Republic in north-western Russia .

The Shapkina has its source in the Bolsemelskaya Tundra in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The river flows mostly in a west-southwest direction. The Shapkina finally flows into the lower reaches of the Pechora on the right at Nowy Bor . The Shapkina has a length of 499 km. Its catchment area covers 6570 km². Its mean discharge (MQ) 82 km above the mouth is 582 m³ / s. The Shapkina is mainly fed by the snowmelt . The Schapkina floods in May and June .
