Kemnade treasury

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Kemnade Treasury is a museum on the history of money at House Kemnade , Hattingen .

It is operated by the Sparkasse Bochum .

The collection of money boxes goes back to a German piggy bank from the 13th century, a Venetian balluster box made of porcelain, American money boxes made of cast iron and various saving containers made of silver and gold.

Emergency and inflation banknotes are another focus.

In the collection there is a still functional bimbo box that many Bochumers still know from the old Kortum department store .
