The tip of the shovel is 2306 m above sea level. A. high summit in the Sonnjoch group in the eastern Karwendel between Sonnjoch and the Bettlerkarspitze .
Climbing opportunities
The normal route leads from the Hagelhütten ( 1077 m above sea level ) in the Riss valley to the summit. It is not marked and therefore not easy to find, especially in the mountain pine zone. It has passages of difficulty I (UIAA) .
You can cross the ridge to the northeast to the Bettlerkarspitze ( II ).
