The Schloßsee is a lake in the Eggstätt-Hemhofer lake district north of the Chiemsee . It is located in the municipality of Bad Endorf in the Rosenheim district in Upper Bavaria . With an area of 26.79 hectares, it is the fourth largest of the Eggstätter lakes after the Langbürgner See , Hartsee and Pelhamer See .

The lake is located in a nature reserve established in 1939 in the ice crumbling landscape of the former Inn and Chiemsee glaciers of the Würm glacial period north of the Langbürgner lake that drains to it. from which it is separated by a narrow land connection, over which the state road St 2095 runs from Rosenheim to Traunstein and on which the Hartmannsberg Castle is located, and southwest of the smaller Kautsee , into which it drains.
