The Schlossparkradrunde in Allgäu is a 219 km long long- distance cycle path . The route was opened in 2015 and classified by the ADFC as a quality bike route with 5 out of 5 possible stars. It is passable in individual sections and is considered the 'little sister' of the Allgäu cycle tour .

The Schlossparkradrunde in the Allgäu is a circular cycle tour and runs through the entire Ostallgäu district . In the north there is a shorter section in the Unterallgäu district . There is no fixed direction, so you can start the round at any time. The route can also be shortened using axes 1 and 2, although the two axes are not signposted. The recommended driving direction of the lap is counter-clockwise.

On its total of 219 km, about 1,400 meters of altitude have to be overcome.

In the north of the circuit are towns such as Buchloe, Lamerdingen and Türkheim. In the west of the circuit you pass villages such as Eggenthal, Aitrang, Unterthingau and Görisried. In the south it leads along Nesselwang, Pfronten, Füssen and Schwangau. On the way to the east, you come to Steingaden via hallech, past the Wieskirche and on to Lechbruck am See. To the north, the tour then leads past Stötten am Auerberg to Waal. The rivers Lech and Wertach (river) are crossed along the route .

The recommended cycling season runs from May to mid-October.

The circuit is mostly asphalted and runs on bike paths and side streets with little traffic.

Section 1: Füssen - Lechbruck am See

Füssen - Hohenschwangau - Schwangau - Halch - Wies - Steingaden - Lechbruck am See

This section leads through a diverse landscape with mountains and lakes past the royal castles.

Lechbruck am See - Stötten am Auerberg - Rettenbach am Auerberg - Kaltental - Waal

This section leads from the south to the north on the trail of the steam locomotives along the former railway line.

Waal - Buchloe - Lamerdingen - Ettringen - Türkheim - Stockheim - Schlingen - Eggenthal
approx. 55 km, 127 m elevation gain

This section leads through Buchloe, the 'gateway to the Allgäu', all over the north of the castle park.

In this section you are on the way in the idyllic western castle park and slowly work your way south again.

This axis represented a good shortcut option on the Schlossparkradrunde in Allgäu and offers the opportunity to take a look at the old town of Kaufbeuren on the way.
