Narrow beech is a district of Neuhaus am Rennweg in the Sonneberg district in Thuringia .

Narrow beech is located northeast on the outskirts of the town of Neuhaus am Rennweg on the federal road 281 , which leads from Lichte up to the ridge of the Thuringian Slate Mountains . To the side there are mountain meadows, streams or forest on the slopes. The district has become a unit with the core city.
history
Narrow beech, also called Grenzbaum , was first mentioned in a document in 1366. In 1607, the glassmaker Christoph Müller, who had previously founded a village glassworks in Lauscha in 1597 , received the concession for another glassworks together with his sons Stephan and Hans, from which a settlement developed from 1618. Until 1918 the place belonged to the sovereignty of the Principality of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt . On April 1, 1923, the place was incorporated into Neuhaus.
