Schmedissen is a district of the town of Horn-Bad Meinberg in Lippe , North Rhine-Westphalia .

history

Schmedissen was first mentioned in writing in 1024 as Smithessun . On January 1, 1970, Schmedissen was incorporated into the new municipality of Bad Meinberg-Horn according to the Detmold Act . This was renamed Horn-Bad Meinberg on September 10, 1970 .

In August 2015, Schmedissen celebrated its 1000th anniversary.
