Holzhausen-Externsteine ( Low German : Holtensen) is a district of the town of Horn-Bad Meinberg in the Lippe district .
history
On January 1, 1970, the municipality of Holzhausen-Externsteine was incorporated into the new municipality of Bad Meinberg-Horn according to the Detmold Act . This was renamed Horn-Bad Meinberg on September 10, 1970 .
Natural monuments
The Externsteine are located in Holzhausen , a sandstone rock formation that is one of the most important natural sights in Germany. The Große Egge ravine is also located there .
