Reviews

The Schnitzel film series is not only a comedy, but also an homage “about friendship, […] great frustration and little luck.” The films are “inspired by a mother's wit and a deep morality.” “The WDR production does not ] on quick punchlines and verbal gags. The characters do not carry the joke, but a sense of reality on their tongues and you can feel the pain that weighs on their soul. The daily problems eat holes in the self-esteem. That's the starting point - and it's not funny per se. But what is strange is the way they deal with the situation and how different they do it. "
