Geographical location

Schollenreuth is located northwest of the municipality of Feilitzsch, west of the village Unterhartmannsreuth and northwest of the federal highway 72 on the district road HO 2 . The Rohrbach flows through the hamlet. The landscape is hilly, pronounced low mountain range , due to the Thuringian slate mountains and the central Vogtland hill country , the Franconian forest and the Fichtel mountains . There is a language border between the Saxon and Thuringian Vogtland to the Bavarian Vogtland .

history

The origins of the districts and hamlets of Feilitzsch are linked to the ancient nobility of the Franconian Vogtland. He settled there around 1200 and had the forests cleared and wet areas drained. The chronicle of the community of Feilitzsch gives an overview. In 2005 37 people lived in the hamlet.
