Forst ( listen ^{? / I} ) is a district of the municipality of Feilitzsch in the Upper Franconian district of Hof in Bavaria .

location

Forst is north-east of the town of Hof and west of Zedtwitz , from which the town is separated by Bundesstraße 2 . The B2 crosses the federal motorway 72 north of Forst at the Hof / Töpen junction . The southern roofing of the Thuringian Slate Mountains merges into the Central Vogtland hill country , the Franconian Forest and the Fichtel Mountains . In addition, the language border between the Thuringian and Saxon Vogtland and the Bavarian Vogtland is located here .

history

The origin of the districts and hamlets of Feilitzsch is linked to the ancient nobility of the Franconian Vogtland. They settled here in the 12th century and worked with the settlers to reclaim the land .
