The Schorenbach , called Bermeckebach in the upper reaches , is a 5.0 km long orographically left tributary of the Wester in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany . The brook flows completely in the urban area of the town of Warstein, which is part of the Soest district .
geography
The Schorenbach rises as Bermeckebach in the Arnsberg Forest about 1.6 km northeast of Hirschberg at an altitude of 368 m above sea level. NN . Flowing to the northeast, the Kahlenbergssiepen, coming from the south, initially flows on the right . After a river stretch of 2.7 km, the Hirschberger Bach, also coming from the south, flows into it . With a length of 9.5 km, the Hirschberger Bach is significantly longer than the total length of the Schorenbach.
Below the mouth of the Hirschberger Bach, the brook is called Schorenbach. Flowing further to the northeast, the stream at Romecke takes on the stream of the same name, which flows in from the northwest. A little later, the Schorenbach flows into the northern outskirts of Warstein at 271 m above sea level. NN on the left in the Wester . With a height difference of 97 meters, the mean bed slope is 19.4 ‰. The 20.804 km² catchment area is drained to the North Sea via Wester, Möhne , Ruhr and Rhine .
