Guilt Can't Be Forgotten is a 1992 American television movie .

The plot is based on a true story. Dee Johnson, wife of real estate agent Mick, is raising two sons from their first marriage. She is respected in her environment. Johnson is arrested by FBI agents one day .
Flashbacks show the criminal past of Dee Johnson, who lived under the name Ginny Porter. She abused alcohol, committed criminal offenses, was arrested and sentenced. Johnson married and had children who her husband later kidnapped. She was sentenced to a long prison term but escaped from prison.
Many parishioners write to the judge and stand up for Johnson. Before the verdict is announced, she tells her sons not to let their dignity be stolen from them. Johnson is expected to serve the remainder of the original sentence plus an additional 18 months for a total of eleven years. She cries and says goodbye to the family.
After 18 months, Johnson is released on parole .
