The Schwarzbach rises in the nature reserve Lochborn von Bieber between meadows and Bieber . At times, the spring water from the Wiesbüttsee was channeled into the Schwarzbachtal to operate the hammer mills in the mining industry. The Schwarzbach runs in a north-westerly direction past the Lochmühle to Bieber. There it crosses under the federal highway 276 and flows into the Bieber .
