The black wall ( 3105  m slm , occasionally Schwarzwand , Italian Croda nera ) is a mountain in the western part of Rieserfernergruppe , striking there part of the southern border of the Gelttalferners . The summit is the highest point in the South Tyrolean community of Percha and the southernmost three-thousand meter of the Rieserferner group. The mountain is part of the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park .

The Black Wall can be climbed from three sides, from Antholz , Rein and Percha . From Oberwielenbach through the Wielental you have to reckon with an ascent time of five hours. The northeastern Rieserfernerhütte is ideal as a base for an ascent .

The first tourist ascent took place on August 10, 1876.
