Scott Bartlett (born August 20, 1985 in Pittsford , New York ) is an American ice hockey player who played for SC Riessersee , but ended his career to work as a players agent for his father.

Career

Bartlett began his career in 2004 at Middlebury College in the National Collegiate Athletic Association . After four years in which he steadily improved his performance, he moved to the 2008/09 season for the Trenton Devils in the ECHL . After average performance, he moved during the 2009/10 season first to the Rapid City Rush in the Central Hockey League and after only eight games to the South Carolina Stingrays back to the ECHL.

After the past season, Bartlett offered himself to SC Riessersee to fill one of the contingent positions. Since the management of the SC Riessersee was not sure about the qualities of Bartlett and only had a limited budget due to the voluntary relegation to the top division , Bartlett offered the SC Riessersee to prove themselves free of charge and at their own expense at the SC Riessersee.

After a four-week test phase in which he scored three points in two league games, his contract was extended to three months at previously negotiated conditions. Since Bartlett's performance was right, his contract was extended until the end of the season. On December 5, 2010, Bartlett was injured when he tore the syndesmosis tape after a check by Hubert Schöpf in the point game against EC Peiting and was out for six weeks. He finished the season with 43 points after 31 games in regular time and twelve points in 14 playoff games. He also won the Oberliga championship with SC Riessersee, which heralded promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga.

In July 2011, meanwhile, it was announced that he was ending his career as a hockey player to work for his father.

Bartlett can play the bat both right and left. Scott Bartlett's father is Steve Bartlett, player agent in the NHL, who is responsible, among other things, for Thomas Vanek's contract with the Buffalo Sabers , which was concluded for a seven-year term and has a total value of 50 million dollars.
