Scott Eatherton (born December 26, 1991 in Hershey , Pennsylvania ) is an American basketball player . He has been part of the Bundesliga team Basketball Löwen Braunschweig since 2017 .

Career

Eatherton was born in Hershey , the hometown of the Hershey Bears ice hockey team . So he originally played ice hockey, but then started playing basketball in high school . In his senior year of high school, he led his team to win the Mid-Penn Conference. He then moved to Saint Francis University , where he played in his first season as a freshman in 28 of 30 games. In the following sophomore year, he became the leading rebounder and second best scorer on his team. He was named Most Improved Player of the Northeast Conference for his improved game . After the Red Flashs fired their coach at the end of the season, he moved to Northeastern University in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). Due to the NCAA regulations, he had to sit out for a season and was not allowed to participate in the game. In his first season for the Huskies , he became the team's top scorer and rebounder and scored the most double-doubles in the country. He also finished his last senior college season successfully and was appointed to the First Team All-CAA and CAA All-Defensive Team .

After he was not included in the 2015 NBA draft , he began his professional career in Europe with the Italian second division club Fortitudo Agrigento . He then moved to the BG Göttingen in the basketball league . In the violets , Eatherton was the top performer as the best rebounder (7.1 per game) and player with the second highest effectiveness value (15.1 per game) of the squad. For the 2017/18 season , he signed a one-year contract with league competitor Basketball Löwen Braunschweig . In Braunschweig, Eatherton was able to improve again and was nominated for the BBL All-Star Game . In March 2018, the association announced the early contract extension with the center. In the 2018/19 season, the American was the second-best scorer in the Braunschweig team with an average of 17.8 points per match, and he also had 9.4 rebounds per game.
