Scott Gault
Scott Hunter Gault (born January 31, 1983 in Berkeley ) is a retired American rower .
Gault began rowing in 1999. In 2005 he finished fourth in the four without a helmsman at the U23 World Championships . At the 2006 World Championships he came fourth in the four-man team . In 2008 the American double scull won the World Cup regatta in Lucerne with Matt Hughes , Samuel Stitt , Jamie Schroeder and Scott Gault . At the Olympic Games in Beijing , the double scull from the United States finished fifth, more than three seconds behind the bronze medal.
After a year break, Gault returned in 2010. Together with William Miller , Wesley Piermarini and Elliot Hovey , he finished eighth in the double foursome at the 2010 World Championships . In 2011 Gault switched to the four without a helmsman. In the line-up of Giuseppe Lanzone , Brett Newlin , Scott Gault and Charlie Cole , the boat reached fourth place at the World Championships in Bled . At the 2012 Olympic Games in London , the foursome with Glenn Ochal , Henrik Rummel , Charlie Cole and Scott Gault won the bronze medal behind the British and Australians.
