Scott Gordon McKay (born January 26, 1972 in Burlington , Ontario ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who was active during his active career for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the National Hockey League .

Career

Scott McKay began his active career with the Burlington Cougars in the Ontario Junior Hockey League , for which he was active from 1988 to 1989. He then went on the ice for the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League in the following four years and was able to increase his points yield annually. After he was never drafted , the right-shooter signed on August 2, 1993 as a free agent with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim . In the 1993/94 season he completed his first and only NHL game of his career. The attacker spent most of the season with the San Diego Gulls in the International Hockey League , where he was one of the top performers and scored a total of 23 scorer points in 67 games .

The following season McKay was on the ice for the Baltimore Bandits in the American Hockey League and the Raleigh IceCaps in the East Coast Hockey League . In the 1996/97 season, the Canadian completed a few games for EC Graz and played with the team in the Alpine League . He then returned to North America and subsequently ran for the Port Huron Border Cats in the Colonial Hockey League and the Carolina Monarchs in the AHL. In the following year, the attacker joined the Louisiana IceGators and completed 57 games by the end of the season in which he scored 41 points. After that, McKay ended his active career.
