Scott Neustadter

Scott Eric Neustadter (born 1977 or 1978 in Margate City , New Jersey ) is an American screenwriter and executive producer .

Career

Neustadter's career began in 2009 with the writing of the script for the film (500) Days of Summer . This was followed by more scripts for The Pink Panther 2 , The Spectacular Now , The Fate Is A Lousy Traitor , Margo's Footsteps and Our Souls at Night . For his artistic achievement, for the screenplay for The Disaster Artist , Neustadter received a nomination in the category " Best Adapted Screenplay " at the 2018 Academy Awards . The award went to James Ivory for his work on Call Me by Your Name . He also received his second WGA Award nomination for this film , the first for (500) Days of Summer .

Neustadter developed the scripts together with his friend Michael H. Weber , who have known each other since 1999.

Life

Scott Eric Neustadter was born in Margate City, grew up in Atlantic City and went to high school there. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and received his Masters from the London School of Economics and Political Science . Neustadter has Jewish roots. He has been married to Lauren Rachelle Levy since October 9, 2010, who met in 2007. Together they are parents of one child.
