Sead Zilić (born September 17, 1982 in Prijepolje ) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian football player who has been under contract with the Greek club AO Trikala since summer 2010 .
Player career
In his youth Sead Zilić first played for Partizan Belgrade before moving to Fiorentina in the summer of 1998 . Just two years later he moved to Hertha BSC on the recommendation of Giovanni Trapattoni . At the age of 18, he made his Bundesliga debut for the Berlin team on matchday 21 of the 2000/01 season in a 3-1 defeat against VfL Wolfsburg . However, Zilić could not prevail in Germany , whereupon he moved to his home country in January 2003 for FK Sarajevo .
However, he did not get the chance there either, which is why he moved on to NK Drava Ptuj in Slovenia after half a year . After only three wins in the Slovenska Nogometna League , the season ended in last place in the table. However, since Esotech Šmartno , NK Dravograd and Rudar Velenje withdrew from the game, they still held the class and was able to end the 2004/05 season in a surprising sixth place.
After the season, the Bosnian moved to the Polish first division club Wisła Płock . There Zilić immediately became a regular player and played 24 of 30 games in the league, in which he scored five goals. At the end of the season , Plock reached 12th place and was also able to win the Polish Cup .
In 2006 Zilić returned to NK Drava Ptuj, where he scored 30 goals in three years. After these three years, Zilić was loaned to Maccabi Petach Tikwa in Israel for six months . In January 2010, however, he returned to the Slovenes and completed ten games in the second half of the season.
In summer 2010 he left Ptuj for the third time and joined the Greek second division AO Trikala . Then he switched to amateur football in Austria, where he now plays for USV Hatzendorf.
