Kırköy ( Kurdish Kir ) is a partially derelict village in Yayladere district in the Turkish province of Bingöl . The village is located in eastern Anatolia , 4 km southeast of Çatalkaya at a tributary of the Özlüce dam , near the border with the province of Tunceli . The previous name was Kır. This name is also recorded in the land register. In 1973 there were still 350 inhabitants. There were no people living in Kırköy in 1997 and 2000, and in 2009, Kırköy was not included in the population statistics. It was not until 2014 that the TÜIK website showed population figures again.
