Sebastian Albert (born February 26, 1987 in Leipzig ) is a German football player .

Career

Youth in Leipzig and Rostock

Defensive player Albert began his football career in 1996 in his hometown in the youth team of VfK Blau-Weiß Leipzig , moved to FC Sachsen Leipzig in 1999 as a youth player and joined the youth teams of VfB Leipzig in 2001 . When this was dissolved in 2004 due to bankruptcy, Albert went to FC Hansa Rostock , where he was initially used in the U-19 Bundesliga .

Hansa Rostock

At the turn of the year 2005/06 Albert moved up to the men's division of FC Hansa, first appeared on April 16, 2006 for Hansa's second team in the fourth-class Oberliga Nordost-Nord and completed eight more missions for Hansa's second, who was fourth under coach Thomas Finck Oberliga and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Cup winners . Albert also made his debut in the U-19 national team at the beginning of the year .

In the following season 2006/07 Albert was one of the top performers in Rostock's second team with 28 completed league games, which was runner-up in the league at the end of the season. However , Albert retired from the 2006/07 DFB Cup achieved by winning the regional cup after playing in the first round against FC Schalke 04 with Rostock's second team.

In 2007/08 , the club's management planned the promotion of the second Rostock team from the fifth-class league from 2008/09 to the fourth-class regional league , whereby Albert was again one of the top performers of the team and was thus able to recommend himself to the first Hanseatic team trained by Frank Pagelsdorf . In April 2008, Albert then signed a two-year contract as a professional , but continued to play for Hansa's second substitute in the 2008/09 regional league season . Only after Pagelsdorf had been replaced by Dieter Eilts due to lack of success in the second division season 2008/09 , Albert was first used by him on February 16, 2009 in the 2nd Bundesliga. Here he was in the starting line-up at the home game against SC Freiburg and was substituted in the 73rd minute. His second and last appearance in the 2nd Bundesliga followed seven game days later at the away game in Fürth - he was substituted on by the now new coach Andreas Zachhuber in the 77th minute. In the 2009/10 season , however, Albert was once again only a member of the Hansa reserve team, which is why he dissolved his contract in Rostock at the beginning of 2010 and moved to the league club RB Leipzig .

Leipzig, Wittenberg, Meuselwitz

Albert played eight games for Leipzig in the second half of the 2009/10 season , scored one goal and promoted the team to the regional league. In the first half of the following regional league season 2010/11 Albert was not used due to injuries and was only able to play for Leipzig again in March 2011. At the end of the season in which Leipzig missed the intended promotion to the third division , he came to another eight appearances for RB before he left the club in the summer of 2011.

After more than seven months without a club, Albert joined FC Grün-Weiß Piesteritz from Wittenberg in spring 2012 , for which he then played in the fifth-class Oberliga Nordost in the second half of the 2011/12 season.

For the 2012/13 season Albert joined the regional league team ZFC Meuselwitz . He received a three-year contract and wants to complete vocational training parallel to football.
