Sebastian Armesto
Sebastian Felipe Xavier Fernández-Garcia Armesto (born June 3, 1982 ) is a British film, television and theater actor. His father is the historian Felipe Fernández-Armesto. Armesto got his education at Eton College .
Life
TV films and motion pictures
Armesto played Charles V in the series The Tudors . He starred in the 2008 ITV series The Palace as Prince George, the king's carefree younger brother. In the 2008 series Little Dorrit , a BBC adaptation of the novel of the same name by Charles Dickens , he played the role of Edmund Sparkler. In the 2011 film Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides he appeared as the Spanish King Ferdinand VI . In Roland Emmerich's film Anonymus , he played the poet and actor Ben Jonson .
Armesto appeared in two episodes of the British science fiction series Doctor Who ("Bad Wolf / The Parting of the Ways" (2005) and "Human Nature / Family of Blood" (2007)). He also played the role of Simon in Nanny McPhee . He made a cameo as the first officer in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015).
Theatrical performances
Armesto has appeared in world-class theater productions in the UK, including three plays at the National Theater and one at the British Royal Court.
He writes and directs plays for the actor group Simple 8 . He adapted and directed Les Enfants du Paradis for the theater. Most recently, he has been working on adaptations of William Hogarth 's Four Scenes of Cruelty , The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and Moby-Dick involved and directed for the theater.
