Sebastian Selke (born February 22, 1974 in Hilden ) is a former German soccer player who is now a goalkeeping coach in Liechtenstein for FC Vaduz .

Career

For two years the goalkeeper was part of the professional squad of 1. FC Köln . During this time he was used four times in the 2nd Bundesliga . At the end of the 1999/2000 season he left Cologne and moved to KFC Uerdingen 05 . A year later he changed club again and went to VfL Bochum , where he was part of the second team. In 2002 he returned to Uerdingen . He played a total of 43 games in the Regionalliga Nord for KFC . In 2005 his engagement in Krefeld ended .

From 2005 he played for Schwarz-Weiß Essen . There, his contract was not renewed at the end of the 2005/06 season. Sebastian Selke then stayed fit as an unemployed professional footballer in the "Camp of Good Hope" at the Duisburg sports school in Wedau . Die Welt am Sonntag reported in its July 16, 2006 issue about the training opportunities that professionals without a club have there.

From September 26, 2006, he was goalkeeper for the North Rhine-Westphalia upper division SSVg Velbert . On July 18, 2007, KFC Uerdingen 05 announced the goalkeeper's third commitment.

Goalkeeping coach since 2008

From July 2008 Sebastian Selke trained the goalkeepers at the VDV players' union at the Duisburg sports school in Wedau. After the training measure for unemployed football professionals expired at the end of September 2008 by the VDV, Sebastian Selke joined SC Fortuna Köln and trained the goalkeepers of the NRW League team there from October 2008.
In 2009 he moved to Liechtenstein together with Pierre Littbarski and since July 1st Sebastian Selke has been under contract with FC Vaduz as goalkeeping coach.

Today he lives with his wife Sonja and three children in Lindau (Lake Constance) , where he also trained the goalkeeper for the local club SpVgg Lindau .
