The Seeburger AG (in its own case entirely with capital letters ) is a German software company based in northern Baden Bretten . The Seeburger software is used for B2B data exchange and the digitization of business processes . Seeburger customers can be found in the automotive industry , in trading companies , in the consumer goods industry , in the financial sector and with utilities.

history

The company was founded by Bernd Seeburger in 1986 as a GmbH . The focus was on EDI software products for the automotive industry, the first product was the WinELKE.

In 1998 Seeburger founded the first subsidiary abroad. In 1999 the company changed its name from a GmbH to a non-listed AG. In July 2000, Seeburger announced the IPO in the Neuer Markt segment, which was popular at the time, for the spring of 2001. This IPO did not occur in the midst of the bursting dot-com bubble .

At the end of 2015, company founder Bernd Seeburger left the board of directors of Seeburger AG at the age of 64 . His successor as joint CEOs (Co-CEOs) was taken by the previous board members Axel Haas and Michael Kleeberg. Bernd Seeburger remained the main shareholder of the group even after he left . His daughter Katrin Seeburger, a teacher by profession, joined the supervisory board .

Today Seeburger AG is a group and in 2017 had more than 20 subsidiaries and branches in Europe, North America and China.

Products and market position

Today's main product from Seeburger is the Business Integration Suite (BIS) as a hybrid integration platform with the following core functions:

Seeburger competes in the B2B integration market with products and providers such as Software AG (product webMethods ), Tieto , Microsoft BizTalk , TIBCO , IBM WebSphere , SAP NetWeaver , Retarus and Oracle ESB.
