The Selter Bach is a 1.6 km long, left and northern tributary of the upper reaches Krebsbach called Kirbachs in Baden-Württemberg Sachsenheim , district of Ludwigsburg .

The stream rises about 220 m northwest of the Schlierkopf, which belongs to the Stromberg . The source is at an altitude of 413  m above sea level. NHN . Flowing mainly in a south-westerly direction, the Selterbach takes on the Güglinger Weggraben on the right-hand side after about 600 m . After a further 400 m, the Riesenklinge empties on the right and the Schinderwasengraben 60 m further downstream on the left . Immediately after the mouth, the brook disappears in a canal in which it flows through the locality of Häfnerhaslach . The run follows the Töpfergasse and the Gündelbacherstraße before the creek to 300  m above sea level. NHN flows into the Kirbach. With a height difference of 113 m, the mean bed slope is 70.6 ‰.

Catchment area

The 1.688 km² catchment area borders in the north on the Zaber and the Zaber tributary Katzenbach . The area of ​​the Hinteren Röhrbächles joins in the northeast and that of the Vorderen Röhrbächles in the east , both Kirbach tributaries. The catchment area is drained via Kirbach , Metter , Enz , Neckar and Rhine to the North Sea .

The Vordere Rohrbächle flows along its entire length in the Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park and up to the location of Häfnerhaslach in the Kirbachtal landscape protection area with adjacent areas from Sachsenheim-Häfnerhaslach via Sachsenheim-Hohenhaslach to Sachsenheim-Kleinsachsenheim, Vaihingen-Horrheim and Vaihingen-Gündelbach . In addition, the natural monument Lean meadows, forest fringes, brooks and woodland on the Seuerbach are located on the stream . The following biotopes are located on the stream:

  • Blades at the Schlierkopf N Häfnerhaslach
  • Bach NO Häfnerhaslach
  • Streams and woods on the 'giant blade'
