The Semidi Islands are a group of islands in Alaska , United States of America . It is located in the Kodiak Island Borough southwest of Kodiak Island , roughly halfway between the Alaska Peninsula and Chirikov Island . The largest islands in the group are Aghiyuk Island and Chowiet Island . The archipelago has an area of 30.178 km² and is uninhabited. The Semidi Islands are part of the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge .
